At WDO, we believe that volunteerism is the spirit that keeps a society alive and vibrant. As volunteers are the valued members of any society who work for the promotion of collective good without any desire for reward or appreciation. WDO aspires to create, support and promote volunteers services and efforts at grass roots level by propagating indigenous examples of volunteerism rooted in Pakistani society as well as by providing information about new trends and strategies affecting the volunteers. The membership of WDO spans a number of districts and encompasses volunteers and advisory council. The volunteers are from all segments of society-of different ages, sex, ethnic background, and religious background. But they all are united in their commitment to civil society. One of the key objectives is to increase the spirit of volunteerism and to reduce boundaries and increase teamwork among our volunteers. These volunteers are responsible to organize different activities in respective districts to meet WDO’s goals.
